I am a third-generation resident of Maryland’s 41st Legislative District, and public service has been a constant throughout my career. My work began in Baltimore City, first in the development office at the Enoch Pratt Free Library and later at City Hall in 2007, where I saw firsthand how local government affects residents and communities. After graduate school, I served as an intern during the Obama Administration. After the internship, I remained in the administration and learned a great deal, and it was later a privilege to return to service during the Biden Administration. Alongside my government work, I have been a professor at a Maryland community college for the past 10 years and have also advised professional athletes as they navigate their careers on the field and their long-term goals beyond sports. I remain grateful that my path in public service has stayed closely connected to the community that raised me.
